Time: 

Out of date technology is on a ticking time bomb, to the extent that it will soon be a useless item to use, or own.

Although dated technology will retain its aesthetic features, its physical practicality is decreasing quickly.

Input: user buys television.           Output: value and signal diminish to zero as year increases.

Input: user slides finger through time.        Output: screen signal varies relative to year selected.

Aged technology is on a ticking time bomb were it will soon be a useless item. 

Value:

The value of any new electronic device is guaranteed to decline as time passes.

Thus, as time passes, the value of a given product will decrease in value due to new inventions and upgrades emerging daily and competing with dated technology.

Irony:

The fall of dated technology will be documented, and known through up to date electronics.

The fall of aged technology will be photographed, videotaped, shared to social media, news feeds, etc.

An ironic representation that aging tech is on a time bomb to being totally useless.

The user would be documenting the fall of an era.

Input: user takes picture of installation    Output: user shares image to social media.

This prototype puts emphasis on the tension the user will feel being in the middle of an argument between two sides.

Attempting to depict the separation of dated technology (toshiba tv) to the rise of the "new" (projected screen), and the human, interacting with the system, is the main cause of the separation due to the values we assign what is less relevant, or less beneficial to us, at that point in time.
