Prototype in Context

By using friendly colors as a backdrop, the user gives off an approachable appearance.

The user also dominates all attention within the provided space, due to the lack of natural light, and time 3:05am. Bright colors along with lights, stand out in the darkness.

Walk-Through

1. Users approach eachother.

2. Ball is at resting place.

3. (Depending on previous user input from prior interaction) User steps into ball.

4. Ball is sent (with visualized velocity) to other side of platform - to other user.

5. New user steps into ball.

6. Ball continues to go back and forth until users meet in the middle of the projected platform.

7. Hopefully, an instance that could have been a 50/50 encounter in regards to safety after-hours, turns into a pleasant encounter, based around an interaction that obviously involves people in the space without their permission, making their presence in the environment essentially blatant or obvious, so to speak.

Prototypes

[Colors are dictated by the ability to recognize contrast from projector to pixy camera]

Change Of Direction. Tracking the physical ball, and have it play a role in the appearance of environmental characteristics.

Custom box made to aim the projector straight down, at around 80 degrees.
